Storage and Export Modules

The OnBase Storage and Export modules provide organisations with diverse ways to save and share their OnBase content. Storage modules allow organisations to simplify storage solutions and leverage existing hardware and software investments, while Export modules enable organisations to distribute OnBase files quickly and easily to those with or without OnBase installed. With encryption options, retention assurance and personalised customer content, Storage and Export modules increase security, compliance and service.

The Distributed Disk Services (DDS) simplifies the administration of OnBase Disk Groups by acting as an intermediary between the OnBase client and file servers. Administrators then only manage one account on the server instead of one for each user group, increasing security and potentially boosting performance.

CD/DVD Authoring serves both as a storage and export module. Data can be burned to CD/DVD media for quick backup that can easily be stored offsite or as a tool to share OnBase files with customers or partners. By utilising the Publishing module, users can add an executable for a stand-alone OnBase system that gives those without OnBase installed basic OnBase functionality for the shared files. As a complement to Publishing or as a tool for transferring data between disparate OnBase systems, Export creates a user-defined collection of documents to a network folder or CD/DVD media.
